Popis

The aim of this textbook is to help medical faculty students learn, understand and review the extensive medical microbiology field. It can also serve as a practical companion for doctors of various disciplines who can find basic information about the diagnosis of the most important infectious agents. The text is interesting because it was written for medical students by medical students themselves. Its foundation was led by doc. MVDr. Oto Melter, Ph.D., who wrote some chapters, organized information and made original photographs. However, most of the chapters were written by a team of students from the 2nd Medical Faculty of Charles University under the guidance of Rute Castelhano. The linguistic adjustment was made by Shenali Amaratunga. The authors believe that the original photo documentation and diagrams will help students to better understand the topics discussed. The textbook is also complemented by case studies whose aim is to help students practice basic knowledge of the field.
