Avoid Tractive if you hate automated support or expect real customer service.
I signed up for the 2-year subscription (without Tractive Care) and my experience has been extremely frustrating.
I lost the tracker twice within a few days because the clip/attachment on the collar came loose. The first time I found it, the second time it was gone. When I ordered/PAID for a replacement device at a “discounted price”, I selected the extra items I needed, a new collar and the rubber attachment, but the package arrived with only the device, nothing else.
That’s when the real problem started.
There is no phone number, no direct email, and no easy way to reach a human. Everything goes through automated chat threads, and the responses I received did not seem to address what I wrote. It felt like automated or template replies, because they referred to things that didn’t apply to me (for example, mentioning Tractive Care even though I don’t have it).
I asked for a solution, a refund option, or at least the correct way to purchase the missing collar and attachment. I even asked for someone to call me.
No clear answer. No human. No resolution.
Maybe something went wrong with the order, or maybe I accidentally unclicked something, but I received no invoice, nothing appears in the app, and there’s no easy way to check.
Warning to future customers (based on my experience):
If you dislike automated systems, this may not be for you.
If you expect real customer support, be careful.
If anything goes wrong, getting help can be extremely difficult.
The clip/attachment may come loose more easily than expected.
Getting a clear response or human assistance has been nearly impossible for me.
The tracker itself might be good, but the after-purchase support has been one of the worst I’ve personally experienced.
If Tractive actually contacts me or resolves this, I will update this review. If not, then this is the final result of my experience.
